In more than 50 years, MEAB has been active in the hydrometallurgical field. The major part of the work has been focused on the development of processes for the recovery of metals from metal containing solid or liquid waste. However, the recovery of Sc from other metallurgical wastes (e.g. Red Mud residue from Alumina production, secondary neutralization residue from processing of nickel laterites by HPAL and production of MHP) also has been investigated.
